Breaking comic book news out of New York hit the web this morning. In an official press release posted on the DC Comics blog, The Source, it was announced that the legendary Jim Lee will become Co-Publisher along with Dan Didio, thus filling the gap left when former Publisher, Paul Levitz, stepped down back in September of 2009.
In the same press release fan favourite DC scribe, Geoff Johns, is named as Chief Creative Officer.
Congratulations to all involved!
Fans – let’s hope this doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing less writing from Geoff Johns. As for Jim Lee who already doesn’t draw enough, in my opinion, I’m sad to say this will probably mean we’ll be seeing even less of his fine pencil work.
